Today, I am pleased that our vision is reflected in transforming the Military Academy for Security and Strategic Sciences into a distinguished academic institution, a premier center of expertise, and one of the scientific and technical arms of the Armed Forces. We aim to align with local, regional, and international standards in education, scientific research, innovation, and training, while keeping pace with the rapid global advancement in the fields of education, training, consultancy, and scientific research.
The Academy strives to achieve numerous specialized educational, training, and research accomplishments in military, security, strategic, and legal sciences by employing modern technologies across these disciplines.

The Military Academy for Security and Strategic Sciences was established pursuant to Decree No. (47) of 2017 issued by the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces. Its organizational structure and internal regulations were subsequently approved under General Command Decree No. (455) of 2020. The Academy’s Supreme Council was later reconstituted via Decree No. (79) of 2021, and the institution earned formal institutional accreditation through Decree No. (43) of 2021 issued by the Quality Assurance Center (Eastern Region). Headquartered in Benghazi and directly affiliated with the General Command of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, the Academy comprises four specialized academic colleges:

Vision To be an international and global institution of excellence in military, security, and strategic sciences, and to serve as a leading house of expertise at the level of the State of Libya and the Arab world.
Mission To contribute to qualifying specialized cadres across all fields to elevate state institutions through modern, advanced educational programs and systems. This is achieved in collaboration with the country’s established scientific institutions and highly competent, experienced, and distinguished faculty members, while fostering engagement with key stakeholders to advance knowledge and meet societal requirements.
